NewCo is expanding, and we’ve got a lot of media to create. So we’re looking for a smart, motivated editor to help us – and our NewCo partners – tell our story.

This skilled writer and editor will assist with a variety of editorial needs. Initially, the associate editor’s duties will include writing headlines and editing session descriptions for conference programs, and writing short company profiles. The associate editor will work closely with the NewCo editor and NewCo conference managers in carrying out these duties, and may be asked to pitch in on a range of other editorial initiatives as needed. This will initially be a contract position but may evolve into a full-time role.

The successful candidate will have at least two years of professional editorial experience. He/ she will be a lively writer and a detail-oriented copy editor who is familiar with AP style. Interest in and knowledge of the business world, and especially the technology and startup communities, is also required. The ability to work collaboratively in a demanding, fast-paced startup environment is a must. The application process will include a brief editing test.
